This season will be a little different. And it’s gonna be great.

Practices: First Day August 23rd

Daily Checklist:

Do not come if you answer yes to any symptom on the form. Workouts will be posted for each week and we will be asking you to complete a google log. Simply stay home. If the symptom is mild and your parents approve. You can do the run or workout from home.

Email us if you must stay home so we can monitor the situation and get you back to practice as soon as healthy. We are also considering some very short days as check in practices. (10-15 minutes) and we would encourage you to run from home or with friends after the practice session at another site.

What you need to do right now (before day one): Register on FamilyId - if you're registered for training you still must go back into the system and register for cross country / track

Make sure you have: A mask or gaiter you can use when you run (These are mandatory at ALL times). If it is really light weight have an additional mask you can use for "social" situations. Once at practice you will need to be masked and remain socially distanced at ALL times. Yes, you will be racing in a mask... Everyone will... This is a STATE of WASHINGTON mandate not a WIAA or Peninsula School District mandate. Above our heads right now..

What to Bring to Practice: EVERYDAY

  • Attestation Form (I will send this out for the first day - and have a packet of them for you first day) This must be on paper and must be done every day

  • Waterbottle (no water available - no sharing)

  • 2 masks ( just in case... I will try to keep a supply on hand as well)

Don't freak out if you haven't been running or standing or anything but sitting in front of your computer - this isn't all about that. This is about getting back to doing things. Our goal in 6 weeks is be better at the end of week 6 than the beginning of week 1 then move on to track and keep getting better. We are not going to do crazy workouts to put you in jeopardy of being hurt or push you - We have 2 GREAT teams coming up and we want them ready for fall by learning this spring but getting consistent training. Yes, I do see trophies in the future! But I also see a lot of great kids just getting better and better and being able to look back at the end of their high school career and be very proud of how far they have come. All the journeys can be celebrated.
